Grand Re-Opening Invites
The objective was to create a VIP invite for the hospital grand re-opening that would involve a die-cut. Finding a vendor proved difficult for staff so my solution was an offset fold which could be produced in-house. I sourced the envelopes, golden seals, and card stock. The theme of the event was "Honoring our Veterans. Past, present and future." I used the fold to tell a story of past and present, revealing the new main entrance of the medical center upon opening the card.

Digital Displays
Produce content for all of the digital displays throughout the medical center. Visually communicate the provided copy from the director's office. Provide proper format of jpeg stills and animated flash or powerpoint slides.

Chamber of Commerce Awards Program
The objective was to create a program which can be printed in-house. Board directors requested something modern and unique. The result was a custom vertical format printed on a textured book cover stock.

Medical Posters
Take scientific data and communicate effectively through visual layout. Working closely with research doctors, determine the placement of copy and graphic elements. Paying close attention to readability and presentation, these posters are printed in-house on large format printers.

Provider Care Pocket Booklets
Created from the ground up and produced in-house. Designed cover and layout for an otherwise standard document. Developed a 9-up document on department specific printers, cutting machines, and binding which yielded 0% paper waste and 100% accuracy.

Stock Photography
Provided art direction and photography. Our department does not have access to stock photography, so getting the perfect image for a layout is as simple as taking your own photos. Photos are then made accessible to all the other VA hospitals in the nation.

Medical Center Maps
Updated and created all map signage throughout the facility. Rendered from facility blueprints months before construction. Printed, laminated and mounted large display maps in-house in one day to pass national inspection. No outside printing facility could provide such a turn-around. Saved the facility from contracting out the work. Files were also used in end-user format as interactive maps used in computer kiosks in the medical center.

Medical Center Posters
Create patient and provider care information for display throughout the medical center. Posters must conform to VHA style guide and meet requirements of patient education and public affairs.

OSCAR Project
Created logo and branding for the Office Supply Collection and Reuse campaign. Our creative approach was nationally recognized as part of the Green Routine initiative. Campaign was a success and was top-of-mind when employees wanted to give or receive recycled office supplies.

Patient Info Book
Redesigned booklet and reduced the amount of pages saving the facility thousands of unnecessary prints a year. Maximizing efficiency in costs and productivity ensures for faster turn-around and a larger contingency for unexpected waste.

Appreciation Card
Designed to give recognition for facility administrative assistants. The end result were 3D table tents that I had designed and created by hand. These were placed on front desks throughout the medical center. The cards were well received from staff to upper management with special thanks from the director.

Photography
With over 5 years specialized knowledge in food and product photography, I am well knowledgeable with lighting, product placement, and post-production. Photos range from portraits, patient documentation, medical equipment, to pharmaceutical requests. There are days I can be found shooting inside a clinic, outdoors at an event, or in the studio photographing evidence for a patient's compensation claim.

Medical Media Homepage
Created website for medical media for intranet. Was responsible for web design, navigation, and coding. Created graphics and navigation compatible with pre-existing CMS intranet. Ensured usability for clients looking for design or reprographic forms and link to our online business card service.
